Last week was Brad's birthday, and I decided to make this pie.  It has an Oreo crust with fat free/sugar free chocolate Jello pudding, Cool Whip, Heath bar pieces, and topped with a chocolate & caramel drizzle.  We cut huge pieces and finished the pie within 3 days. Will definitely make this again.

I got Brad a French press for his birthday a few years ago, and he uses it daily.  I recently got this one, which makes enough for 1 decent mug of coffee.  At home, we have about 8lbs of coffee that we got from various holiday Yankee Swaps, so it's a good way to use up all of the joe.  Plus, this gives me a reason to take a 5 minute french press/coffee-making break at work.

We got this nice little tree from the Boy Scouts of North Cambridge (rather than Home Depot).  Now it's decorated, lit, and ready to go!  Otto seems to enjoy basking in the glow of its lights, his tennis ball within sight, of course. :)

We caught the June 5th, Saturday night Conan show at the Wang Theatre. Wow, is he funny. The show featured Reggie Watts as the opening act (very funny, talented, original musician) and Conan's usual crew of Pender, LaBamba, the Vivinos, and Andy Richter. We planted these basil seeds in early May, and this is how they're doing as of today, about 6 weeks later. They get plenty of sunshine in our kitchen window, and it looks like they're doing very well! We'll thin them out & replant in some other containers over the weekend. Next up: oregano and dill.

One lucky early morning phone call to my dad and Brad and I found ourselves with 2 tickets to the Sox/Toronto game last weekend! We saw The Dark Knight in IMAX. Excellent. Sadly, it's probably Heath Ledger's best performance, and I couldn't stop thinking about that throughout the movie. I made it in time to see the Celtics parade yesterday afternoon! People were running in the same direction through the streets to catch up with the parade (it reminded me of being in a movie - if i looked back, i expected to see Godzilla chasing after me!) Brad got me a handheld GPS for my birthday. It's awesome, but I've only used it a few times since I've gotten it. (I had it with me once when we were driving to RI - we got stuck in traffic for 2 hours and I pretty much had the time to check out every feature. It told us our average speed was 2.1 mph that day.) Melissa was in town from Denver for a few weeks, and one of the restaurants we took her to was Fugaku in Brookline. Our booth had sliding doors, and good thing because we had a great time and were laughing nonstop! (It could've been the saki!)
